21 Day Fix- Days 1-3

If you are on Instagram there is no doubt you have heard about the 21 day fix or have seen before and after photos.  They are amazing! My Aunt just recently finished the fix and became a coach.  She lost 13 pounds in 21 days a long with a couple pants sizes and a lot of inches.  I decided to research the crap out of it like I always do and what appealed to me most was the eating part of it.  You get containers for different catagories. Red for protein, Green for veggies, Purple for fruit, Yellow for carbs, Blue for fats, and orange for seeds (chia, pumpkin, flax).  The book that comes with it helps you figure out how many containers you need.  Not only do you learn how to balance your food, you learn PORTION CONTROL.  Even when I eat clean I now know I eat WAY too much.  My goal is to lose my 10 pounds by summer, not just in the next 21 days but this program has already helped after 3 days with the amount of food I should consume.  Hopefully it helps in the future too.  Plus these 30 minute workouts are seriously kicking my ass! Like I had a hard time using my arms today!  Anyway on to days 1-3

Day One-

Breakfast-Shakeology with spinach, a banana and chia seeds

Snack-2 boiled eggs
1/2 stick string cheese

Lunch-Quinoa Taco Bake-This is fantastic! Thank you pinterest!!

Dinner- I went to a concert so got a salad with chicken and cranberries, no dressing

Snack-2 tsp Peanut butter

Exercise-It was my cleaning day and I got up at 5am to do the 21 day fix total body cardio....I used to think Jillian Michaels was bad until I met Autumn.

Day 2-

Breakfast-Shakeology with almond milk and chia seeds

Snack- Cottage cheese with fruit

Lunch-Quinoa Taco Bake

Dinner- Tilapia Corn Taco with greek yogurt and cheese, cantaloupe

Snack-1 tsp peanut butter and 1/2 glass of wine....yes you can have wine!!!

I wasn't very hungry the second day and had a massive headache.  Not sure what it was from, probably allergies but I still came home and did the upper fix

In my jeans and scrubs..... let's face it there are some days when putting on your actual workout clothes is a chore.  So I problem solved haha I worked and I still sweat my ass off!!

Day 3-

Breakfast-
Shakeology with spinach, cantaloupe and chia seeds

Snack- 4 slices of Turkey bacon-yum

Lunch- Quinoa Taco Bake, roasted broccoli and a slice of thin steak

Snack-cottage cheese with fruit, pistachios

Dinner- Thai Curry- this is really good if you like curry

Snack-Quest cookies and cream bar

Confession....quest bars aren't in the plan and I added extra protein in for the day.  I was hangry all day and knew I had to add in a little protein or I would be the wicked witch.  I still followed portion sizes though!

Exercise- 5am lower fix-ouch.  She's kind of evil and I'm hoping to walk tomorrow!!

So the biggest thing I have found with this program is you have to plan ahead!  Plan your meals all day long to fit with the containers.  It's just like meal prepping but helps know your portions and balance.  You can replace your carb container 3 times a week with wine if you want and you bet your sweet ass I will be!

Plan, Plan, Plan

I love this plan compared to some others because it doesn't completely deprive you and that's where I always seem to fail or maybe I'm thirteen and don't like to be told I can't have chocolate if I want it;)

Anybody else doing the 21 day fix? Want to?

Tequila makes her...forgetful

No it doesn't make my clothes fall off...ok maybe sometimes but for the most part it just makes me forgetful.  I usually can't remember an hour or two the next day about what happened the night before.  I know it's a good time and I guess that's what matters most!  Why does tequila do that? haha
Had a great night with Nicole and my Daddy!

I went to watch my nephew play baseball.  I could sit at a field all day long and watch baseball!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  We spent it with family hanging out, playing horseshoes and of course eating!

Here are just a couple of the million pictures we took!

Marcus playing horseshoes

Isn't this the cutest picture ever?!!

Adi playing football

My Dad refuses to look at the camera...such a pain in the ass

 Goals from last week:

*Stick to my meal plan and still keep sugar to a minimum.  Eat clean 80% of the time, especially on the weekend!-Umm well...see....what had happened was? I suck...oh well

*BodyPump 4 times this week!- Done! Plus I did about 15 minutes of the cardio fix from the 21 day fix and thought I was going to die.

Speaking of the 21 day fix...I ordered it in February and just now got it.....

I am starting it tomorrow...wish me luck.  I want to actually follow through and finish it like I never do.  The part I am looking forward to the most is learning portion sizes and the right balance.  It will be interesting to see how my body feels with it!  My goals this week are to stick with it and do two a days, so I can keep going with bodypump.  Sweet baby Jesus I may not be able to walk for 21 days but it will be worth it...I hope haha

Last but not least don't forget to enter the giveaway!  You only have until tomorrow!!

Thankful Thursday

First of all Welcome to all of my new followers!! I will be doing a post next week hopefully about myself and why my blog is named Sunset79 if you are interested:)

You know that saying "Too Blessed To Be Stressed"?? I hate it!  I mean what does that even mean?  Lots of people know they are blessed beyond belief and can still get stressed out sometimes. Right?!  Right.

Anyway because I am extremely blessed I figured Thankful Thursday would be a good day to remind myself why.....

1.

Kids!  They make my world go around.  As stressful as a 2 year old is sometimes, there is no better place for her than with me and Marcus!!  At the end of the day when I get to come home to those two it's a beautiful life!

2.  My 2 jobs!  I may work 2 jobs and it wears on me but some people don't even have one job and can't afford to feed their families.  There is always a bright side!

This e-card brings me to my next one...

3. Wine. Am I allowed to be thankful for that? because I am!

4. Family and Friends- At the end of our life material things won't matter but those we love will!

5.  My boyfriend-I just recently got divorced and in the process a friend and I reconnected and discovered that we were pretty perfect for each other.  He looks at my crazy life and instead of being bothered by it he embraces it and respects it.  He lets me be myself completely, gives me my space and treats me like a princess.  I got lucky!

What about you? What are you thankful for?  Any quotes you can't stand? and who else is thankful for wine? haha

The movie that never ends...

Why do weekends go by so fast??  This weekend flew by and because Colorado has such bi-polar weather I may miss work tomorrow so 3 day weekend? We will see.

Life right now is crazy and I am completely stressed out.  Between trying to find a place to live and having to fix things at my current house and get ready to move to somewhere I haven't find yet I may possibly lose my shit lol  Not to mention a 2 year old that doesn't understand the word No, an 11 year old that lies and can't seem to pay attention to anything I say. I need a vacation, somewhere tropical with a lot of adult beverages.
 Alright I'm done bitching....

Friday was a fun night.  I went to see Tyler Farr with my mom.

Saturday morning we took my niece to her first movie at a theater...Rio 2
She was mesmerized and it was a great movie.  Sometimes a sequel can be disappointing but it was great! My sister and I might have enjoyed it more than any of the kids in the theater!!

Saturday my boyfriend came over and we watched The Wolf On Wallstreet.  Anyone seen this? It was LOOOOOONNNNGGGGG.  It was really great at first then we couldn't wait for it to be over, I even went to sleep because it just wouldn't end lol The movie that never ends.

Saw this quote on instagram and it couldn't be more perfect.  It's safe to say I have finally found that...about damn time!!

Sunday I literally did nothing, finished reading this
Let's talk about this book for a minute.  I loved it and hated it all at the same time.  It was extremely long and hard to get into it, and seriously a heavy book.  Once you got into the story it was intriguing and the ending was really surprising.  To be honest I skipped whole pages and just wanted to get to the end.  Sad but true.

I also finally watched Frozen.  Such a great Disney movie!!!

My goals from last week were:

*NO sugar. Thank goodness for shakeology because I haven't even been craving it!-I had a little bit, and a lot this weekend, eek but on MFP I never went over on my sugar.  That is an accomplishment right there!!

*Bodypump at least 3 times this week, my other 2 workout days are my cleaning days.-Done. I'm in love with bodypump and can't wait to work my way to the harder workouts!  I even got in a 2 mile walk/run this week!!

Goals for this week:

*Stick to my meal plan and still keep sugar to a minimum.  Eat clean 80% of the time, especially on the weekend!

*BodyPump 4 times this week!

Here's to a great week!! Happy Monday!!

Vacation Weekend!

No I didn't really go on vacation but I was kid free the WHOLE weekend so you better believe I took advantage of it!

Friday- It was the Rockies opening day and you know I had to buy this shirt because it was too amazing not to..
I would rather have baseball diamonds than real ones.....hmmm I may secretly be a guy trapped in a girl's body!

After they won! I took some Anthony's pizza to my Bff Holly because she just had foot surgery.  I was good and only had 2 small pieces and a salad.

Then it was off to karaoke.  The only time in my life I have ever been an attention whore is when I'm up on stage singing, as soon as I get off I no longer want people to acknowledge me....I'm a weirdo.  I get an adrenaline rush and just love to sing!
I went to bed by 11....old lady status haha

Saturday- My mom and I went shopping and kind of went crazy.  I don't know if any of you ladies have seen clothes these days but the styles are horrible.  We went to about 10 different stores and only found stuff at 2.  It was disappointing but we got to Gordman's and filled a cart and bought almost every single thing in it!  I bought this outfit....
I never wear heels....but those coral heels begged me to buy them. So pretty!  I only lasted about an hour in them then changed into my cowboy boots.....

Tomorrow is my boyfriend's birthday so I took him for some sippin and painting. He loved it and he's really good. Me? Not so much but what matters is how much fun you have and we had a blast and a lot of wine....
Then we went to karaoke again....can you tell I love it?

Sunday- I didn't get out of bed until 11:30. I don't actually remember the last time that has happened.  It was mostly because I had a wine/tequila hangover yuck!

Also my aunt recently became a Beachbody coach and what do you know I was ready to buy something anyway.  Well because I bought Bodypump I won a free prize.
A step.  Those bitches are expensive so I was so happy!  Now if I would get over this sickness I've got going on...boo!

Goals this week are:

*NO sugar. Thank goodness for shakeology because I haven't even been craving it!

*Bodypump at least 3 times this week, my other 2 workout days are my cleaning days.

Hope everyone had a great weekend:)

Follow Through Friday

This is the first time I have participated in Follow Through Friday, why you ask? Because I am terrible at following through with eating right and exercising.  I do really good for a week and then...cookies, reeses and anything bad for me jump into my mouth!

The last 2 weeks I have done really well!  I am determined to feel confident in a bikini this summer.

As far as food goes I have eaten clean about 80% of the time, I am not perfect but I will tell you I started a 10 day shakeology/clean eating challenge on Tuesday.  Let me start off by saying I had serious reservations about shakeology.  First off that ish is expensive, second a shake that reduces your cravings and fills you up?? Yeah right!! Well by Thursday (day 3) I felt fantastic.  My office is filled with cookies and Reeses eggs and they don't even look good to me....weird right? I will probably stick with the shakeology, even with the price.

MFP-How many people use this? I am bananalisa9183 if anyone wants to be friends with lil' old me. I am on my 28th day in a row!  I don't think I have ever gone that long.  I don't always stay under my calorie goal, I am not perfect in any way but just logging and seeing the calories you take in is eye opening all the time.  I also add ALL exercise (brown chicken, brown cow), I don't give a shit you know that is exercise lol

I started Les Mills Body Pump!  I absolutely LOVE it.  I am not a cardio girl whatsoever...I prefer horizontal running haha name that movie!

Anyway body pump is perfect, lots of lifting weights and they keep you so busy the 30 minutes flies by.

I am trying to lose 10 pounds by the summer.  I weight about 130 and that's considered overweight for my height (I know, I know) but it really does make a difference.  I also have fibromyalgia and it hurts like a mofo most days.  I replaced my coffee with spark and haven't had a flare up in almost 2 weeks.  Score!!

Alright enough rambling.  Anyone else participating in this?  I am really excited because it will be the first time I have done a swap!
Camo & Lipstick

Hope everyone has a great weekend:)

So What Wednesday...

Life After I Dew

* I started a 10 day shakeology/ Clean eating challenge yesterday!  But before I could continue on I had to get rid of all the wine in the house so what does a girl do in that situation? Drink ALL the wine Monday night and have a wonderful hangover the first day of the challenge haha Am I the only person that does this?

* It is wednesday but monday and tuesday kicked my ass so bad I feel like it's friday...ok I wish it was friday....

*I am possibly the only person in the world that hasn't watched Frozen....Is it really THAT good?

* I started Les Mills Pump last week and absolutely love it but haven't done it once this week.  It's all that cleaning I do, leaves me no energy

* I am addicted to Rock Stars!  The drink not actual rockstars.  They have this new sparkling peach and it's delicious and gives me so much energy.  So what that I drink those AND Spark.  I like to fly lol  I also don't think those qualify as clean...oops

That's all I've got! Happy Hump Day!!!
